About Us

Shining Light Crafts, LLC is a family-owned business founded in 2011 to showcase original handcrafted gifts at craft shows throughout the mid-Atlantic states.

Debbie, our main designer and founder, takes great joy in creating things from scratch and always has. In 2010, a year before she founded the company, she created Candle Art Fun®, our signature create-your-own candle product. Candle Art Fun® offers both children and adults the opportunity to make something wonderful and creative with no experience needed.

Since Candle Art Fun®, Debbie has created dozens of new products for Shining Light Crafts™. In 2017, her husband, Steve, joined the team with his exquisite craftsmanship of wooden lighted stars, plaques, and flags.

It’s our joy to use our aptitude for design and sparks of inspiration to create products which bring people joy and allow them to be creative.

At craft shows, the Shining Light Crafts’ booth is colorful and inviting. Our team is always enthusiastic to talk about our crafts and we encourage you to stop by, browse, and ask questions!  

Our name, Shining Light Crafts, is based on the Biblical Scripture Matthew 5:14-16:

¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

While we’re honored to have Scripture as a foundation of our business, we respect people of all faiths as well as those who do not have any religious beliefs. We firmly believe we are called to be good neighbors to one another and to let our light shine!
